I'll say this about South Dakota...they have good roads and an 80 mph speed limit. We had a good drive over from Sioux Falls leaving the hotel around 8:30 and getting here around 4:30 mountain time. We did some side trips along the way.
The Corn Palace at Mitchell was disappointing. They had not put new corn on the outside for a couple of years. The volunteer said something about using the money to develop a "green space" next to the corn palace. We got through there after about 10 min and headed out on I 90 west.
Our next detour was to take the scenic route through the Badlands. Now that was impressive!! I've never been out here so all of it was new for me. Don came out as a kid and said he remembered being there. We stopped at a scenic overlook and took some pictures and just looked at the beauty of the land. On our way towards the end of the route we came across a couple of critters along the road. The prairie dogs were out and cute.
All along the highway we kept seeing signs for Wall Drugstore. Reminded us of the Burma Shave signs when we were kids. After we came out of the Badlands area, we drove straight into the town of Wall and went to the drugstore. BUT, again we were disappointed. It was just a drugstore on steroids. Room after room of stuff you could buy and food to eat. We didn't buy or eat anything.
That was it for our sight seeing. We headed to Deadwood after that and checked into Cadillac Jacks Gaming Resort where we get to stay for 2 nights until Nicki and Brian catch up to us. We're hoping and praying that will be Thursday. We had a good dinner and played video poker and each won some money.
Tomorrow we're doing the Mt. Rushmore/Crazy Horse/Sturgis tours. We may try to drive up to North Dakota too so we can say we've been in that state. Its only 2 hours from here.

Your font size and picture size looks fine to me. Sounds like an interesting road trip so far, hope Nicki and Brian catch up soon and safely.
